Reporting is critical to all institutions and organizations in order to view data in a meaningful way. The reporting needs of upper management are often quite different than those of managers and individuals who work with the data regularly. A simple approach to reporting which provides the summary level and detailed level of data that meet the needs of many audiences is necessary and helps everyone understand how well the organization is doing. In this presentation, you will learn how Crystal and nVision reports can be designed, developed and data presented in a user friendly way such that it represents the value to the wide variety of users. Even though there are many reporting tools, you’ll see why these are easy and more user-friendly to create, present, manage and understand. We’ll share tips & tricks that can be utilized in the development and presentation. For example number of report developments can be minimized by using drilldown, sub reports technology in Crystal. Trees can be used in nVision and Crystal reports to present data in a departmental hierarchy and rollup such that upper management can run the report at a summary level where as a manager can run the same report at a more detail level.
