Bank of America is the representative for all banking transactions for the State of Maryland. At Coppin State University, we previously utilized Sallie Mae to process our ACH and credit card transactions. Due to cost considerations and the restrictions on VISA credit cards, the decision was made to switch our payment processor from Sallie Mae to Bank of America. Utilizing IScript and Peoplecode, we developed an interface to interact with Bank of America's payment processing services. We'll discuss our experiences with developing the interface as well as our business decisions to switch from Sallie Mae to Bank of America. By switching to Bank of America, we no longer charge the students a convenience fee which encourges them to utilize self-service for ePayment services.
