I have lived through being a new functional analyst very recently and have first-hand experience - been there, done that, and got the t-shirt too! I’ll be sharing tips and tricks, templates that we use, demonstrating tools that we use, as well as giving you some lessons learned – all from the perspective of a new functional analyst.

Topics will include: roles and responsibilities of a functional analyst; skills and knowledge required or needed to obtain; getting to know your clients; resources, including online resources and contacts at other institutions; training, including PeopleSoft training as well as other learning opportunities; and tools that we use at NSCC, including a task database, helpdesk ticket system, and a document management system (SharePoint).
