Florida A&M University’s Financial's Development team was given the task of setting up workflow for Travel and Expense in Financial's 9.0 using the delivered Workflow. Our Initial objective was to try to setup workflow using the delivered workflow path and the setup of ‘Approval Setup’ for Expenses. However, the delivered T&E Approval path did not meet the University’s requirement but we were able to utilize the underlining delivered workflow Approver Categories. In order to accomplish our objective, we had to define a custom workflow path, while doing this we encounter several issues such as:
>> Effective date logic,
>> Path and Step level criteria on Process Definitions
>> Project Manager’s and Supervisor selection Approval process flow
>> Stage Number on the Process Definitions vs. Stage Identifier on the Transaction Definition
>> Required changes to the Expenses installation Options Page
