We would conduct Exit Interviews and students would be shocked at how much they had borrowed. The Northwestern Financial Aid Community wanted a way to give students a snap shot of their borrowing history right in their Student Services center. The Debt Summary pages that we put together indicate the gross amount (not including any interest) that the student borrowed, their lender at the time they borrowed (cannot currently list if the loan has been sold) and the aid year and their career (we have many dual degree students and students who return to Northwestern for their graduate degrees).
