Symposium Details

You’re invited to participate on behalf of your institution in the HEUG Cloud Symposium, to be held on February 4-5, 2019 in Redwood Shores, California.

The goal of the second HEUG Cloud Symposium is to help those responsible for the ongoing management of Oracle’s cloud applications maximize their chances of success by providing a forum for sharing information with each other and with Oracle. The symposium will bring together adopters of Oracle cloud applications in higher education to share information on topics essential to successful cloud application management.

We’re also extending invitations to Oracle executives and key product strategists, but the focus will be on maximizing success, not on sales. Discussion topics will include institutional cloud application strategy; life after going live; maximizing investments in cloud applications; lessons learned to date on implementation & conversion; integration challenges and opportunities; leveraging experience with HCM and ERP Cloud to ensure success with Student Cloud, and integrating Student Financial Planning (formerly Vocado) with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions. The action items coming out of discussions at the symposium will be shared with attendees, including Oracle, and the HEUG board.  The insights gained from the symposium will play a key role in setting the HEUG’s strategic direction for supporting the use of cloud applications. We expect this symposium will serve as the foundation for effective advocacy to Oracle on behalf of higher education, leading to better communication between all parties and improvements in the fit between Oracle’s cloud applications and the colleges and universities that use them.  We expect that this group will grow as higher education institutions continue to adopt these applications and as the applications evolve.

Given its nearly twenty-year mission of education and advocacy on behalf of its members, the HEUG is uniquely suited to creating and fostering this initiative.
