The delivered SF External Award Feed does not allow for reducing Financial Aid Item Type estimated values when corresponding actual values are received by Student Financials. The delivered process also poses a limitation in handling a many to one relationship in Financial Aid Item Types associated with one Item Type. Using delivered PeopleSoft functionality, this query based alternative approach to SF External Award Feed uses Query Manager to allow for these limitations to be overcome. The results of the query are then loaded via External Awards to Assign Awards to a Student (STDNT_AWARDS table) from the Student Account (ITEM_SF table) and maintain a more accurate estimate of financial aid resources without requiring a customization.
