How Comments, Checklists, Communications Changed the World!

The UNT System Student Finance department processes tuition and fee billing; waivers/exemptions; payment services; refunding and tax reporting for over 41,000 students enrolled at the University of North Texas (Denton); the University of North Texas Health Science Center (Ft. Worth) and the University of North Texas at Dallas. We will review how we have improved our services to students and internal operations through implementing the 3C's (Comments, Checklists and Communications).

This presentation will give an overview of the functionality and uses of each of the 3Cs: Comments, Communications and Checklists as well as how to streamline processes used to assign the 3C's using the 3C Engine. We will share examples of how we have used the 3C's functionality to keep students and internal team members aware of account activity. Examples will include:

Communications:
Selecting tuition plans; balance reminders; new account activity alerts; third-party contract notices; requests for taxpayer ID; etc.

Checklists:
Waiver/exemption requirements tracking; 1098-T/tax reporting tasks

Comments:
Updates from team members assisting students; automated process comments (i.e. installment plan added; enrollment cancelled)
