The session will cover how you can combine Classic and Fluid development to create new applications. A complete custom application was developed at Fox Valley Technical College to process part time contracts and contract extensions for faculty.

The custom application includes Classic and Fluid self-service pages, email workflow, payroll process, and custom Elastic Search definition.

Classic screens were developed to set up and create faculty contracts. Fluid self-service pages were incorporated to allow staff members to view and accept or decline contracts. A custom payroll process creates the additional pay entries once the contract is accepted and is ready to be paid. The application allows for reprocessing in case of revisions to the contracts are needed. You will also learn how you can integrate a simple custom elastic search definition.
