I have over 40 years of Information Technology experience and have worked in Higher Education for 10 years. I have a BA in Mathematics and an MS in Applied Mathematics/Computer Science. I started my career as a programmer, working for banks and brokerage firms In New York city. In 2006 I moved to Tucson, AZ, working at the University of Arizona in the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid. We converted to PeopleSoft in 2010. It was a painful experience at best, considering we moved to Federal Direct Loans as part of the conversion.
I very much enjoy simplifying complicated processes and in sharing that information with others, both within the University of Arizona and with other PeopleSoft users. Even though I currently work in a functional/business area, the programmer side of me comes out when I develop queries and equations. I have presented some of our query solutions at the past two Alliance Conferences and am always willing to assist others if they contact me directly or on the HEUG listserv.
