Bio

Longin Gogu currently serves as the Associate Vice Chancellor of Enterprise Applications at Lone Star College. In this position, Longin works closely with other IT and business unit leaders to develop and execute IT strategies and initiatives.

 

Furthermore, he leads multiple teams that are focused on process improvement and innovation, product and process development, as well as reporting and analysis. The goal of these teams is to maximize the Return on Investment for our Oracle/PeopleSoft products (on-prem and cloud) and assist customers in streamlining their current operations while guiding them through the available technology options.

 

Longin has over 17 years of Information Technology and Higher Education industry experience, from both a functional and technical perspective. Prior to joining Lone Star College, Longin worked for San Francisco State University and the University of New Orleans in various roles supporting Student and Academic Affairs, Enrollment Management, and Technology Services.

 

Longin serves on several committees and product advisory groups and has been part of multiple strategic initiative and projects ranging from implementations, upgrades, as well as other technology efforts. He is an advocate for user experience, innovation, and analytics, and has supported his institution to receive multiple recognition's in these subject matters.

 

As a member of the Technical and Reporting Advisory Group (TRAG), Longin has been actively engaged with the HEUG for the past 3 years, helping represent the user community voice with Oracle and at the same time keep the community informed of upcoming trends, updates, changes, and opportunities available to the HEUG members. Furthermore, he has repeatedly presented at the Alliance and Regional conference over the last 15+ years, as well as other conferences.
