Tracy Okamura is the Financial Systems Director at the University of California, Berkeley where she manages the analyst team who is responsible for supporting the Grants, Project Costing, Contracts, Accounts Receivable, BillingCommitment Control, Accounts Payable, Purchasing and General Ledger modules. At UC Berekeley, Tracy led the projects to implement the Billing and AR modules for non-student, non-grants receivables, to upgrade Berkeley’s PeopleSoft Financials system from 9.0 to 9.2, to implement the Grants Suite in 9.2, to implement a PI dashboard tool, and to upgrade to PeopleTools 8.54 and become current with PUM Image 14. She is currently leading the project to upgrade to PeopleTools 8.57 and become current with PUM Image 32.
Tracy began her career in the quasi-public sector as a staff accountant back in 1987 and worked her way up to become an accounting manager. After going back to get her MBA, Tracy started working as a functional consultant implementing PeopleSoft’s AR and Billing modules in version 6.0. Since then Tracy has worked on over 10 full cycle system implementations, 4 upgrades and built one custom billing module all focused within the PeopleSoft Billing, AR, Contracts, Projects, Grants and Order Management modules. Tracy was the Chair of the Grants, Contracts and Billing PAG, is a member of the Grants CAB and presented at the 2014 and 2018 Oracle Open World conferences and at the 2015, 2016 and 2018 HEUG conferences. Tracy, her husband and 16 year old daughter are recent transplants to northern California; she loves to ski and has 4 dogs (long story there).
