Bio

Additionally, I have taken courses on Corporate Governance and Performance Program, Yale School of Management, Yale University, New Haven; the CEO´s Management Program, Kellog School of Management, Northwestern University, Chicago, and the CFO´s Executive Program, Booth School of Business, University of Chicago, Chicago.

Within the PUJ, I was Dean of the School of Engineering (1999, 2005) elected member of the Board of Directors for the period 2003-2005 and currently Vice-President for Administration and Finance and member of the University Executive Committee since 2005.

I have been President of the Colombian Association of Engineering Schools (ACOFI) and Vice-president of the Ibero-American Association of Institutions for Engineering Education (ASIBEI) during the period 2002-2005, and currently I am a member of the board of directors of several Non Profit Organizations and Educational Institutions in Colombia.

Since my current position, we created the IT Direction to work in the construction and development of an institutional policy that ensures the acquisition, operation, maintenance and renewal of IT for artistic, scientific and technological development as well as for the University Management (Administration and Academic).

In pursuit of this objective, we embarked on the integration of information systems, opting for the implementation of Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (Student Administration, Gradebook) and Oracle’s PeopleSoft ERP products such as HCM (Human Resources, Payroll, ePerformance), Financials (GL, AR, AP, Billing, Cash Management, AF), Grants y Projects, and we are now in the implementation of a business intelligence strategy.
