As IT Director of Student and Administrative Systems at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, I lead two unique teams responsible for supporting our Workday ERP, and ancillary administrative applications (approx. 40+ applications). Overseeing these critical IT applications, I have a unique view to collaborate with IT leadership on direction, project governance and strategic direction.
I have been involved in HEUG since 2013, currently serving as a HEUG Board Member (2022- ), and previously serving 6 years on the Oracle EBS Advisory Group (2013-2019). For our institution, HEUG provides networking opportunities with schools facing similar issues - whether it's related to the student information system, ERP, or the technology and project management in between.
As an IT leader, HEUG gives me an opportunity to connect with other leaders in higher ed, as well as bring together a variety of vendor solutions that help aid in strategic decisions. Being involved in HEUG has been instrumental in helping us grow our application footprint by getting the most value possible out of our core applications. I continue to share our stories, and look forward to others doing the same.
