Although my background is accounting, the work I enjoy most is defining, analyzing, and improving processes - whether through automation or other efficiencies. I enjoy working with teams, brainstorming solutions, and the continual challenge of change. I find success when someone's job becomes easier, an organization's risk decreases, and profitability improves. Business needs in higher ed. can be quite different from the manufacturing industry where my Oracle journey began. It is through conferences, training sessions and user groups such as HEUG and OATUG that I have found valuable advice and creative solutions to turn challenges into wins for the MU project team. I would like to continue participating in the EBS Advisory Group and with HEUG to help advocate for other users as well as to build the business relationships that will help all of us bring those wins to our workplace.
