Currently most higher education institutions are adopting PeopleSoft Campus solution, Banner or custom-built Student Information systems and are faced with the challenges of enhancing the system functions and improving the user experience. Quite a few higher education institutions have started evaluating the next generation of Student Information system to replace the existing legacy Student Information system. However, the next generation of SIS such as Workday Student Management Cloud or Oracle Student Management Cloud is not yet readily available in our region. Should we stop the evaluation and wait until the next generation of SIS matures and is available to the Asia Region? What should we try to do now and the options available? A panel consisting of academic registrar and IT personnel would like to share their views and actions taken so far.
