Striving for Institutional Excellence with Lean for Higher Education

LIVE WEBINAR

SEP 14, 2021

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM ET

Although Lean thinking has its roots in the manufacturing industry, its principles and practices are increasingly being recognized as critical tools for achieving operational efficiencies in education, healthcare, technology, services and government.

This webinar will introduce Lean concepts aimed at maximizing customer value while minimizing waste to improve your process flow in Higher Education. So, what does this mean - how can a concept with deep roots in manufacturing help Higher Education? First, let's face facts: many institutions are trying to strive for organizational excellence at the same time budgets and resources are shrinking. We are being asked to do more with less - so let's work smarter and focus on how we can become more efficient and productive in our approach?

During this webinar, we will introduce Lean concepts and illustrate how they can be used throughout the University to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of critical academic and business processes. We will define how to identify waste and value-added tasks in your processes, and explore Lean tools that can be used at your institution. We will provide examples of process improvements using Lean and show you how you can get started with Lean.
