EMEA 2017 – Barcelona Calling!

Barcelona Calling!

Summer’s coming to an end (for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere at least) so that can mean only one thing – it’s time to think about HEUG EMEA!

This year we are breaking new ground by holding the EMEA Conference in Spain, 16 -17 October 2017 – in the wonderful, historic city of Barcelona to be precise. This will be the first time that we have held this event outside of the UK and the Netherlands and we really hope that the EMEA Community (and those from further afield) will relish the chance to visit this stunning and historic city.

And of course, we are also planning to put on a conference that you will find rewarding and enjoyable with a programme that is shaping up to be as varied and as stimulating as usual. We have sessions from your peers in the HEUG community and our valued sponsors, as well as important updates and sessions from Oracle.

But don’t just come for the sessions! We are ensuring that you will have plenty of time for networking, to catch up with old friends and to meet new ones. We are told that this is one of the most valuable aspects of the conference and this year will be no different.

Our main evening event this year will give you the chance to spend time together in the centre of Barcelona, sampling up some traditional Spanish tapas and perhaps the chance to take an evening walk around the city.

There’s (just) still time for you to submit your own session if you haven’t managed to do that yet – you have until August 18th to give us details of your proposal. Remember, it doesn’t have to be a formal presentation – if there’s a topic that you want to lead a discussion on, or put together a panel for Q&A, we’d be happy to hear your ideas. Go for it and submit your session!

And to register for the Conference itself (and secure your room at our conference hotel) you can find all the details here.

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to Barcelona!
