Reflections of 20’s

Twenty years ago this March I attended my first HigherEd Special Interest Group (SIG) of which we all know now as Alliance!  This was a new adventure for me as I had never been on an airplane, and this first adventure began on a prop plane! That plane was shaky and very loud, however, I earned my wings!  Over these past twenty years, I've had the opportunity to fly east, west, north and south and still get as nervous as that first flight in 2000!

Alliance 2020 is just around the corner and I am so excited to attend my 20th Alliance.  Over the years, attending Alliance has provided me with great professional opportunities, personal growth, lasting friendships, a network of professionals willing to share their experiences which provides a great benefit to my college.  There has not been one Alliance conference where I have not come back to my college excited to use the knowledge shared and gained during this event. I cannot stress enough or convey in words and my gratitude in the value the HEUG and Alliance has provided my college and me personally.

I would like to encourage everyone to view our Alliance 2020 sessions and complete your agenda on the mobile app . Maybe you will find a surprise session that piques your interest or even one that will solve one of your college opportunities.  See you in Philadelphia!

Reflecting on your reflections!

Thank you for stating these things very eloquently, Buddy! When I do similar reflecting around this time of year (sometimes as social media sends me memory pictures that included past Alliance conferences), I continue to be amazed at the opportunities for learning and the wonderful connections that I have made throughout the years. Best group ever! And you ROCK!
