HEUG EMEA Representative – 2020 Call for Nominations
The opportunity to both lead and serve has come once again for qualified HEUG volunteers!
The HEUG Nominations and Election Committee is searching for eligible candidates from EMEA Region to fulfill the HEUG EMEA Representative Position. Candidates must show experience in leadership positions and be willing/able to represent the EMEA Region by facilitating effective engagement between the region’s ‘country’ representatives and the Global Council where appropriate.
The elected HEUG EMEA Representative will fulfil two roles:
- They serve as the EMEA’s representative on the HEUG’s “Global Council”, and
- They serve as the Chairperson of the HEUG’s “EMEA Executive Committee”
Current HEUG Standing Orders call for the Nominations and Elections Committee to identify and recommend qualified candidates to the HEUG Global Council and recommend a slate of nominees for election by members following the nomination process. The Nominations and Elections Committee shall review the nominations, and vet the nominees for placement on the final ballot.
Before you nominate, keep in mind that if elected, the time commitment is certainly manageable within your current institutional responsibilities but can be significant and we ask that all nominees have the support of their institution prior to submitting for nomination. The EMEA Representative is a volunteer where each member is involved directly with many of the functions you have probably participated in over the years. Please submit your nomination for yourself
or another qualified individual no later than September 20, 2020.
