New Hope of Children Association Cambodia
NHCA was registered as an official NGO in Cambodia in 2013. The school was established by Mr Prosh in 2009 in his home and has evolved to be a multi-classroom school with more than 300 students. It is located in a village 20 minutes from Siem Reap.
The school is free for children and young adults from poor backgrounds teaching them English, computer literacy, sewing and other life skills to improve their chances of gaining further education or employment. For some students this is the only form of education they receive.
The school runs entirely on donations and sales from handicrafts. It takes about $12,000 US per year for the school to operate and provide some food to the students.
