Bio

I have been with the University of Waterloo since 1988. Most of my career has been within the Registrar’s Office and IST starting on the Student Administration Project in 1999. I work with the Academic Advisement and Student Records Modules mostly. I also worked with the conversion from legacy to PeopleSoft. University of Waterloo went live in 2001 with PeopleSoft. I have been involved in many upgrades since 2001 and manage testing of Oracle/PeopleSoft Student Administration system in modules for Student Records and Academic Advisement, as well as testing cross-functionally with other Oracle/PeopleSoft modules

Since go-live I have been involved in specific developments to our system.  Some developments include: our secure Automated Grades Upload and Class Roster Download. Currently managing the Academic Advisement Project for Go Live in Fall 2019 for this product to be open to Students.  Currently only open to Advisors!

I have presented at the 2004, 20015, 2016, 2018, 2019 Alliance Conferences!

I have a passion for the product and love being involved with HEUG and it all started with the being a member of the Academic Advisement Advisory Group 2015-2017 as the Vice Chair!

I currently serve as the Vice President of Membership and Communications on the HEUG Board as well as the Chair of the first Canadian Executive and the Canadian Representative on the HEUG Board.  I was honoured to be the Chair of the inaugural Canadian Alliance 2017 regional Conference! I am also honored to continue my support to the Academic Advisement Advisory Group with being co-board liaison!

Being involved with HEUG and Oracle/PeopleSoft has given me great satisfaction and strength.  It has given me the chance to help others and to grow and gain knowledge in this product and the HEUG Organization.  HEUG is one of the greatest tools out there for PeopleSoft Higher Education for clients to communicate and collaborate online.

On a personal side, I was a Director for Kitchener Waterloo Oktoberfest from 2014 to 2017 for Event Productions.  Currently in my second 3-year term on the Board of Directors for Kitchener Waterloo Oktoberfest as Director of Business Development.  I Chair the Oktoberfest Sponsorship Committee and handle all VIP Scheduling with respect to Oktoberfest President and Miss Oktoberfest.  I am a member of our Registrar's Office Spirit Crew for the past 19 years and have organized the Office Christmas Kids campaign (to help kids in need at Christmas time) for over 30 years.  I am on the ladies dart league in my home town.  I love to go camping and enjoy the outdoors.
