Did you know that PS query offers Drilling URLs? A Drilling URL is an expression type that enables the query's end-user to drill-down to another PeopleSoft component, another query, or an external website, just to name a few. Imagine you are an end user who's daily task is to run a query, navigate to a PS component for each returned value in that query, and take some sort of action on that component. Now imagine that you have been empowered to simply click on a field in the query results that will bring you directly to that page so that the action may be taken, without having to navigate each and every time!
Query drilling URLs enable the query writer to create a clean, efficient "main" query using drilling URLs to run separate queries that have additional information on any of the returned values. As we all know, end-users want one row per value/student, even if and when this is not entirely feasible.
