FA PAG News Notes - Volume 12, 14 March 2018: All About Alliance, Part 2 Building your Agenda, Step 1

Building your Agenda for Alliance PRIOR to attending the conference is critical.

The only way the Conference Committee can assign rooms of the correct size is if folks have actually selected their sessions before the conference begins.  Not only will this allow the conference committee to do their jobs, it will also keep us from overcrowding some rooms thereby violating Fire and Safety regulations.

To make things easier let’s break this down into three steps:

Step 1: Review the Agenda, Make Decisions
Step 2: Download the App
Step 3: Build Your Agenda

Fellow FA-PAG Member Dana Pawlowicz and I have culled through the FA Track as well as the full list of Sessions on offer at Alliance18 and posted this review in a suite of documents in the Financial Aid Files section of HEUG Online.

Here is a link to that set of documents:          https://www.heug.org/p/do/sd/sid=26306

Here you will find eight Word documents Dana created that categorize all of the sessions in the Financial Aid track.  You will also find a spreadsheet I created of ALL sessions to be presented at Alliance18 with a notes column added to help you identify interesting/useful sessions that might fall outside of the Financial Aid Track - for example, there are Query sessions all over the place, and did you know...there's a Gainful Employment Session in the Campus Community Track...and there's a session in the Academic Advisement track about capturing FA INeligible courses?

I hope this helps you pull together your agenda SOON.
