FA PAG News Notes - Volume 14, 16 March 2018: All About Alliance, Part 2 Building your Agenda, Step 3

By Jessica Holler posted 03-19-2018 07:21 AM

Building your Agenda for Alliance PRIOR to attending the conference is critical.  The only way the Conference Committee can assign rooms of the correct size is if folks have actually selected their sessions before the conference begins.  Not only will this allow the conference committee to do their jobs, it will also keep us from overcrowding some rooms thereby violating Fire and Safety regulations.

To make things easier let’s break this down into three steps:

  • Step 1: Review the Agenda, Make Decisions
  • Step 2: Download the App
  • Step 3: Build Your Agenda

I attached a spreadsheet that (I hope) accurately reflects the layout of the sessions to the FA.PS and FA.INTL posts, here is a link to that post:  Alliance Session Layout Spreadsheet

I create this spreadsheet every year in an attempt not to double-booked myself.  And sometimes it works!

  • Yellow highlights are Oracle Session timeslots (Campus Solutions 9.2 Roadmap and Oracle FA Strategist Sessions)
    • Please note: The Oracle Student Cloud Roadmap session will be held at the same time as the Financial Aid Birds of a Feather Session – some folks may have to make a tough decision for that time slot, sorry!
  • Orange highlights are the Financial Aid community-type sessions

So now all that is left is to add the sessions to your agenda!

Method 1:       Use the App – find your sessions and select them

Method 2:       Build your Agenda Online: https://heug.eventsential.org/Home/Details/117

And now a reminder:  Have you been out to the blog to suggest topics for the Financial Aid Birds of a Feather?  We now have THREE suggestions.  (Thank you, Jason Hartigan, Carol Bolden and Mark Woolery!)

Here is that link again, please suggest more topics:  https://www.heug.org/p/bl/ar/blogaid=3551

Keep those Birds of a Feather Session Topics coming!
