Huron Survey explores higher education’s AI readiness
A new survey from Huron and Inside Higher Ed finds that colleges and universities expect AI to make a significant impact on campus. However, few have the budget or institutional support to keep up with the changes it will bring. Among the findings:
- Only about one in 10 respondents feel very or extremely knowledgeable about the rapidly changing developments in AI.
- Fewer than a quarter of senior officers report that their institution has room in the budget for new AI software.
- Less than half of respondents agree that faculty will be receptive to adjusting their curricula to include teaching students how to use AI.
