Stephen Brawn

I am a Senior Systems Analyst Programmer at Northwestern University in Evanston Illinois.  I have worked at Northwestern for just under three years as a developer for the Admissions, Campus Community and Student Records modules of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.  During this time I have worked on many development projects including a printable photo roster, a self-service emergency information collection project, an emergency information mobile app project for Deans-On-Call, and I am currently working on two new application interfaces using file parser and AAWS.  I have also been heavily involved in technical production support and maintenance tasks for the Admissions, Campus Community, and Student Records modules and have been leading admissions and campus community related technical support and maintenance tasks for the last year and a half.  At Northwestern, I am also a member of a web developers accessibility working group which helps to ensure that our web sites, software, and vendor products are as accessible as possible for people with disabilities.  Previous to working at Northwestern, I was a PeopleSoft developer at Northrop Grumman Corporation in Pennsylvania and did large development projects in the PeopleSoft HRMS product as part of a harmonization initiative to bring all of the sectors within the company into one HR enterprise product.

Mark Messing

My experience with PeopleSoft started back in 1994 when I was on the initial search committee and then implementation team in the private sector when we implemented HRMS v3.0. We went through a double upgrade to v5.0 two years later. Then in 1997, we upgraded to v7.0. I left the company to work for a smaller company, but that lasted a year. Then I moved to another large company that was running PS v7.5. I worked there for 18 months, and left to work at another smaller company where I served on another search committee and implementation team to implement Oracle HRMS. After 18 months, I was laid off and then found a job at Boise State University where we were on v8.0 when I joined. We went live with PS v9.0 in 2008. Last February -- 2013, we completed an 18 month v9.0 refresh project, where we reviewed every business process and every customization to take advantage of vanilla functionality and removing customization where possible. We removed approx 65% of the customization we had within the system. I continue to be the CC Lead and Data Steward for Campus Community.
