PUM Image 5 - Highlights of CC Functionality

The intent of this article is to showcase Campus Community features and functionality released on May 2nd 2017 in the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.2 PUM image 5.
Article:
The fifth PUM image of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.2 is currently available for download and contains some new features/functionality for Campus Community including fluid Campus Community profile enhancements, PeopleTools changes to the distributed user profile functionality, and a new feature to require a phone number entry for emergency contacts.
In PUM image 5, Oracle has delivered the following functionality for the Campus Community Module:
- Fluid Campus Community profile enhancements –
These enhancements assist institutions in the United States of America (USA) in meeting regulatory requirements regarding Ethnicity information and Privacy Restrictions. If configured, students can access and update their personal information including their ethnicity information from any device, and set privacy restrictions and exceptions on their personal data.
2. PeopleTools changes to the distributed user profile functionality -
PeopleTools changes were introduced in the Distributed User Profile functionality effective with release 8.54.26. These changes impact New User Registration security objects. Updates in this release include the use of new Component Interfaces (CIs) and the use of Remote Security Administrator Role Grant Capability in order to provision roles to other users.
3. New feature to require a phone number entry for emergency contacts –
This new feature requires that a phone number is entered when an Emergency Contact Name is entered or is present in Emergency Contacts. This is a fundamental change in the Person Model which affects the way in which Emergency Contact data is managed for both HCM and Campus Solutions. This feature ensures that if an Emergency Contact name is entered, an Emergency Contact Phone number must be entered in order to perform a Save.

PeopleSoft CS 9.0 to 9.2 – PeopleTools 8.55 Upgrade
The CS 9.2 Upgrade for PeopleTools 8.55 is available via My Oracle Support, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Upgrade Home Page (Doc ID 2078564.2). This MOS site contains documentation and an important video for performing the CS 9.2/PT 8.55 upgrade.
