PUM Image 8 - Highlights of CC Functionality

The intent of this article is to showcase Campus Community features and functionality released on February 8th 2018 in the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.2 PUM image 8.
Article:
The eight PUM image of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.2 is currently available for download and contains some new features/functionality for Campus Community including new functionality for Common Attributes Framework Enablement on more records, Entity Registry Enhancements, Page and Field Configurator, and CS 9.2 Page Display and Style Sheet Updates.
In PUM image 8, Oracle has delivered the following functionality for the Campus Community Module:
1. New functionality for Common Attributes Framework Enablement on more records -
The Common Attribute Framework (CAF) is an innovative feature that allows customer implementation teams to easily add fields to existing tables via configuration rather than modification. CAF functionality has been enabled for the following records in addition to those that are already enabled:
- The Residency Official record, allowing institutions to define and record values for their own attributes related to students' residency status.
- The External Organization records, allowing institutions to define and record values for their own attributes for Organization Contacts, Locations and Departments as well as for the Organization itself.
2. Entity Registry Enhancements –
An enhancement to Entity Registry allows saving to PeopleTools audit records created to track changes to data.
3. Page and Field Configurator –
Page and Field Configurator is a utility that can be used to configure fields and pages within a component. The utility can be used to modify field labels, gray fields, hide fields, and provide default value for fields; and to add required field edits for fields within the component. The utility also helps to make a page Display-only or to control the visibility of pages within the component.
4. CS 9.2 Page Display and Style Sheet Updates -
With the upgrade to CS 9.2, Oracle adopted a new style sheet for our classic pages. This style sheet is standard across PeopleSoft applications, accommodating language translations and accessibility, and will make upgrading to new PeopleTools versions more efficient.
However, because of the scale of the style sheet updates, there have been display issues encountered by users. Campus Solutions intends to continue to address these issues as necessary in PUM Images.

PeopleSoft CS 9.0 to 9.2 – PeopleTools 8.55 Upgrade
The CS 9.2 Upgrade for PeopleTools 8.55 is available via My Oracle Support, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Upgrade Home Page (Doc ID 2078564.2). This MOS site contains documentation and an important video for performing the CS 9.2/PT 8.55 upgrade. A reminder: the process of obtaining the upgrade template has changed with PeopleTools 8.55 so we encourage you to review Getting Started on Your PeopleSoft Upgrade (with PeopleTools 8.55) available on the MOS site Getting Started on Your PeopleSoft Upgrade (using Change Assistant) (Doc ID 739129.1).
