Article:
This article aims to introduce the greater HEUG community to the CC AG and the resources that we provide.  To learn more about us, please view our community page here: heug.org/cc.

What Is Our Mission and Who Are We:
The Campus Community Advisory Group (CC-AG) is a very active group of individuals with a wide variety of backgrounds and experience.  Our focus primarily lives at the center of the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (CS) system holding the biographical information for all constituents (applicants, students, alumni, staff and others).  However, we also advocate and support system functionalities known as common or shared functionalities.  The mission of the Campus Community AG is to represent the interests of the higher education institutions worldwide that use the PeopleSoft Campus Community module, relevant functionalities, tools and frameworks - alone or in conjunction with other software and services - with a special emphasis on education and advocacy for the community.  Recently, this has also included an “eye to the future” with regards to the current use and continued development of relevant shared features functionality in the Oracle Student Cloud.

What We Do:
In general, we cover all areas regarding the shared functionalities and structures of the CS system, which holds all the biographical and demographic information. We also focus on any CS product functionalities, tools, and frameworks that are shared by all the CS modules/products, e.g., Communication Generation, Activity Guides, Notification Framework, File Parser, Work Centers, Common Attribute Framework, etc.  In addition, we cover SEVIS functionality, which is the US based Student and Exchange Visitor Information System.  The CC AG also interacts often with the other Campus Solutions modules such as the TRAG (Technical and Reporting Advisory Group), Admissions, Student Records and others on a variety of topics and current issues.

What Our Current Priorities Are:
More recently with the increased use of software and services such as CRM, Auto-Marketing, and Student Engagement, combined with an emphasis on global issues, we are also addressing a new set of topics related to Data Privacy/Governance, Duplicate Prevention and Resolution,  Identity Management, Security, and Integration.

Additionally, with the development of the Oracle Student Cloud in full swing and with a general release of the product available (initially supporting the Continuing Ed business model,) we are also collaborating with Oracle in a focus group structure that leverages the Advisory Group and other HEUG community members.  Our members are participating in the design of the functionality currently known as Shared Products (equivalent set of Campus Community functionality and tools) in the Student Cloud product.
