Leveraging Targeted Emails with File Libraries- How one HEUG.Online Vendor Generated 100 leads in 5 days

One of the many benefits of sponsoring the HEUG.Online includes sending HEUG sponsored targeted emails. Based on your sponsorship package the number of emails may vary. Silver comes with one email, Gold has three, and Platinum includes six. Often, this is used for promotion around an event such as Alliance or another regional conference. Here's how you can leverage existing content and your targeted email to generate high sales-ready opportuntities in the HEUG.Online.

Step 1: Pick an Audience

The Heug.Online has over 30,000 Oracle and Peoplesoft users from around the globe. If you only serve the North America then you may not want to send an email to an Australian University. This also gives you the opportunity to hone your message to that specific audience. The Heug.Online team can help you filter the database to come up with specific lists based on custom criteria.

Step 2: Develop a Message

At this point you will have to focus on the subject line, messaging, and ultimately the call-to-action. Since we are trying to generate leads here, the best practice is to keep the messaging brief, yet informative. We don't want to send a multi-paragraph email here! The idea is to get the recipient to take action. Try using terms like, “Register Now “or “Learn More Here”. The email needs to be just good enough for the recipient to open and click through to your Call-To-Action.

Step 3: Capture There are two ways to manage the capture of the lead.

1. Call-to-action takes the reader to your site at which point you use your own lead form prior to downloading the resource or registering for a webinar. The positive here is that you now have the individual’s name and contact information. The negative side to this route is that you may lose conversions due to the reader not wanting to be contacted.

2. The other option is to have the call-to-action link to your HEUG.Online file library with the resource. Now the reader is not asked for additional information and more likely to download or view the resource. At this point your resource is tracked by the HEUG.Online and the HEUG.online team can send you a list of domains that have accessed your resource for follow up. Simply go to the HEUG.Online Directory and look-up the designated Point of Contact to have sales get in touch with.

Bonus:

Once you’ve stored a file in your file library, that resource is searchable across the site. It is also available for download and view as long as you are a HEUG.Online member. At any point you can reach out to the HEUG.Online team to get a list of domains that accessed your content.
