    Hello -

Is there a way to blank-out values or set a returned value to zero on a PSQuery result set?

For example, when using the bind variable for loans with 3CEngine (SCC_PS_LOAN_BND), it requires all the fields from the bind record be included in the results.  This is a problem for us, because we do not populate all the variables on ps_var_data_loan for our checklists.  The bind record is a view, which returns the values from the loan table.

What I would like to do is change the value(s) either to blank or zero, depending on the field.  For example, I would like to change all the fields except EMPLID to blank or zero.  Is there an expression that can do this?

    Thanks for any advice,

    Patty

    Happy Friday!

Try creating an expression that is just a blank value or 0 for each field. It would like this:

    image.png
Then return that expression as a field in your output, and edit the properties as shown below:

The 3C engine should be using that unique field name to find which field it can grab to populate into the variable data.

    Good luck!

    Hello Patricia,

Are you creating a query based on the SCC_PS_LOAN_BND table?  If so, why do you need all the fields to show if it is just a query?

You could create expressions that are just ' ' or 0 depending on whether or not the field is a character field or numerical field.  Then use those expressions as fields and make sure that each unique field name is the name of the field for that column.  For example, the blank institution unique field name would be INSTITUTION.  You can give that a try. However, this is just a shot in the dark because I am not quite understanding what you are trying to achieve.
