Just before Alliance each year, all the PAG members gather for The Summit, which is a two day event where PAGs meet to discuss their goals and objectives for past year and how they did against them, what their objectives are for the coming year and also to meet a wide variety of Oracle strategists to learn what is coming up in the future with development of the products we use and also to look at how best we can work with Oracle to help develop the systems. Yesterday was Day One and the eBS PAG had a great day.
First of all was the usual round table discussion where we find out what each of the institutions have done in the last year and future projects. I can tell you there's some exciting projects being planned across the PAG member institutions and where we can we'll try and get updates / webinars on them for all of our members.
The roundtable is also a time to meet new faces who have joined the PAG, and this year we welcomed back Karen Eck from Carnegie Mellon University and welcomed Carol Houser from Oregan Health & Science Univeristy and Arun Subramanian from Southern Illinois University.
Yesterday afternoon, we had three sessions. The first was a presentation and Q&A with Buffy Ransom from Oracle. Buffy is the Vice President, Customer Support E-Business Suite Global Centres. Buffy provided us with insight into how Oracle Support is working closely with development to provide customers with better tools to aid support of our system and some new and exciting developments with regards to enhancement review. The discussion also provided us with the ability to provide feedback directly to Buffy on our experiences with Oracle Support and how best we can work with them in the future.
Following Buffy's session, we had a great sneak preview if what's coming from a user experience perspective in 12.2.X from Gustavo Jiminez from Oracle. Gustavo has become a great ally to the eBS PAG and his input is always great, especially as he leads the Application Technology Development Group and so brings a view on E-Business Suite usability and new ways that Oracle are developing its platforms to take advantage of mobile technology and new browser standards.
Last session of the day focused on the Enhancement Tracker analysis, led by Anna C. de Lapparent, eBS PAGs Product Enhancement Tracker Co-ordinator. Thank you to all of you who have voted on the enhancements in the listing, this has given the PAG an excellent view on what enhancements you would like us to push forward with Oracle. We can't promise them all, but we will certainly do our best. Remember, you can add in your own enhancements into the tracker as well. If you have an enhancement request, please make sure that you have raised an SR and Oracle have created the ER in My Oracle Support before logging it as it makes it easier for us to push if we already have an ER raised with Oracle.
Today brings some more excellent sessions, which I'll update you with tomorrow.
