In the coming months, MetaLink3 will be upgrading and officially changing its name to 'My Oracle Support'. 'My Oracle Support' is designed to enhance your online support experience by providing personalized, proactive, and collaborative support. These enhancements should not affect your current login, Support Identifier, or Service Request numbers. 'My Oracle Support' is designed to provide several features including:
- A single, comprehensive and personalized dashboard to manage your service requests, configurations, and projects
- Improved service request management
- Personalized and targeted information from an extensive Oracle knowledge base
- Proactive advice and critical product patch alerts specific to your configuration delivered to your dashboard
There is a crucial requirement for 'My Oracle Support' that you can take care of in advance. 'My Oracle Support' will require a Flash plug-in, version 9.0.115 or higher. How to prepare for that? If you already have the Flash plug-in you can verify that you have the correct version by going to the Adobe Flash check page. Don't have the Flash plug-in? You can get it from the Adobe website.
