Using HEUG’s Global Council to Make Interconnections!!!

It’s hard to believe that almost a year ago we introduced the HEUG Global Council. As we live in a world where we are connected with other people, we need to use our International regions as hubs for engagement for our members to stay connected.  We have always been connected virtually, but more recently with today’s current state.

Coming up this October 2020, will be our first ever International Virtual Week.  We are extremely excited to bring you this week of engagement, networking, learning, professional development.  It is a free event if you are a current HEUG member, so register today We also want you to share your knowledge with other colleagues.  Our session proposals will close on August 19th, 2020, so get your proposal in.

Global connectedness is defined as a country’s integration with the rest of the world through multicultural, international, etc.  The Global Council is working on engaging our international members more in each of our regions starting with our Latin America region.  We are currently developing an Engagement Committee to drive conversations and provide updates for the Latin America Community

As part of Global Council’s mission to facilitate a stronger voice for our HEUG members from outside the US, we have created a reporting document to help provide HEUG members within the region with a simple questionnaire-based tool to submit information to the Global Council about any cross-regional issues, concerns, suggestions or opportunities it has in respect of the information systems provided by our partners or about the HEUG in general.

On behalf of Global Council, we look forward to seeing you at the IVW20 Conference.

Best,

Kelly Wilker
