What about HCM?

Just so that we all start on the same page, HCM stands for Human Capital Management and is used interchangeably with HR and HRMS for most people.

HEUG is a very diverse organization and that diversity extends to the configuration of PeopleSoft products at different institutions.  In some situations, there is just Campus Solutions.  Others have Campus Solutions and HCM in separate databases.  Last (but not least!), there are those that have Campus Solutions and HCM in the same instance.  After Alliance and the discussions about the new Continuous Release Model for Campus Solutions, institutions in the last two situations may be asking, "What about HCM?"  A valid question, but one whose answer is evolving along with the Continuous Release Model.

The HEUG Board and the HRMS PAG have already started discussions with Oracle about the impact of the Campus Solutions Continuous Release Model on HCM, especially for those users who have them in the same instance, and will continue to advocate for our users in this area.  So, how do you stay current on this situation?  Simple, take advantage of HEUG Online.  First, check the blogs.  Blogs are a great way to keep track of the coming changes and to share your thoughts and comments about topics that are covered in the postings.  Second, be sure you are subscribed to the HRMS listserve.  The HRMS listserve is a great place to get information and ask questions.  Last, let your voice be heard in Issue Tracker.  Issue Tracker is a place where you can submit your issues and more importantly, vote on all of the issues to let your voice be heard.

So, what about HCM?  You've come to the right place to find out and I would encourage you to keep coming back to check on the latest information...
