Recently the 2017 Southern African Alliance conference finished up in Pretoria and it was extremely well received and quite successful. There were nearly 200 registered attendees as well as a number of last minute drop ins (all are welcome!) as well as a number of potential new member institutions represented, some of which were from outside of South Africa.
A HUGE thank you to Barry Hudson and the University of Pretoria for being great hosts, and thanks also to the entire planning and executive teams for coordinating and putting on such a well received conference. 2018 planning is already under way and we hope to have some save the dates and location information out to everyone in the next few months.
Our next global Alliance Conference will be Latin America, which will be held for the first time ever in Brazil, hosted by Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná in Curitiba on 22-23 August 2017. I hope many of you will be able to attend and look forward to seeing as many of our global membership as possible.
