Moving to the Cloud: Sensible Strategies for Higher Ed

Spending St. Patrick’s Day in Nashville this year? I can’t think of a better way to start Tuesday than to attend an 8:00 a.m. (groan, I know) panel discussion about creating or refining a practical strategy for your campus to move part or all of your Oracle applications to the cloud. In this context, by “cloud” we mean applications that are located off-premise that are accessed by the internet – so, the broadest definition of the cloud.

We will be bringing a panel of thought leaders from universities and from Oracle together to discuss Oracle's cloud strategy for higher education and how it can help universities create a more valuable and sustainable long-term applications strategy. By hearing from these experts, you can expect to hear ideas that you can take back to your institution for your own institutional planning learn effective practices for building your business case for moving to the cloud.

Moving to the cloud means different things to different people. It can include moving applications to the cloud, leveraging infrastructure in the cloud, and/or platforms in the cloud, to name a few. This panel hopes to cut through the jargon to talk about what is really meaningful for higher education, what you can take advantage of now, and what will be valuable to your institution going forward.
