The weekend of April 8-10, while many of you were enjoying leisure time with friends and family, the HEUG Executive Board met to take the first step in moving the strategic plan developed over the past year into an action plan for 2011 activities. Establishing champions for each goal and objective, and empowering those champions to set milestones and timelines, the Executive Board created work assignments for themselves, the advisory groups, and committees. The outcomes of these assignments will be used in assessing whether or not the HEUG is doing what it said it would do in the Strategic Plan. The Board’s summer meeting will present an opportunity for members to report back on progress made and challenges remaining. Stay tuned for progress reports as the summer wanes.
