Hi Everyone, Jane Baratta here again! Since I talked to you last, the planning team has been to check on things at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. We endured some very hot weather and a rain storm during our stay. Nobody said this job would be easy! As far as the facilities are concerned there have been a few changes since Alliance was last there. The parking lot where we had our final night event, in a tent, is now a Top Golf facility and the MGM Grand Garden Arena, where we will host next year’s event, is undergoing some updates. We toured the rest of the site and that really helps with our continuing work on the logistics. A floor plan just seems to make so much more sense when you’ve seen the space in person!
The HEUG Board just held an in-person meeting. There was discussion on Oracle and its cloud projects, the work for the HEUG Board to take on over the next year as well as the budget for Alliance. There will be more info in the blogs from the other Board members so watch for that.

This month’s fun fact: The Bronze lion outside of the MGM Grand Hotel is 45 feet tall and 50 feet long and weighs 50 tons.
