Developing mobile solutions for enterprise applications

Many of us have begun developing mobile apps for specific university business functions. Maybe your students can do things like view grades or change their address from their phone, or you may have employees who can approve business transactions or request vacation days from their phone or tablet, or maybe you are just now planning your strategy. No matter where you are in your planning we have some ideas that will help you set your future direction.

The HEUG Technical Advisory Group understands the growing mobile workforce and the needs of our students to perform targeted business transactions.  We also know that our 3rd party providers have been working diligently, although maybe a little slower than we'd like, to meet this evolving need.

We've put together a webinar scheduled for May 8th where representatives from three HEUG schools will discuss a recently-released paper http://www.heug.org/p/do/sd/sid=15303&type=0 on this very topic.  Given the current mobile landscape, this session will cover key design considerations to help ensure the successful deployment of an efficient and secure application.

Here are some details:

Date: May 8th
