Welcome all to the Inaugural posting of the Southeast Atlantic Regional User Group!

The SEARUG is a newly formed HEUG Community serving the southeast region of the United States.  Membership is targeted at higher education institutions using or implementing  Oracle systems in the states of Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky, West Virginia, Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee.  Institutions outside of these states are welcome join, and are encouraged to subscribe and participate in all aspects of this community.

This regional networking group is designed to support institutions that use the Oracle Campus Solutions product. Our goal is to provide networking opportunities for schools in the region, to provide an online forum for conversations about the functional and technical aspects of Campus Solutions, to sponsor an annual conference for regional users, and to generally enhance the services offered by HEUG.org.

The first SEARUG regional conference is scheduled for October 20 - 21, 2011 on the campus of Duke University in Durham, NC.  Save the date so that you can attend this event – we are planning sessions covering all aspects of Campus Solutions, with sessions both functional and technical.  There will also be module-specific breakout sessions, and an evening reception for all attendees.

To stay up to date, please take a moment to subscribe to the new regional forum. When you login to HEUG.org, click the "Communities" link in the center of the top navigation bar. On the Communities page, click the "Regional Networking Groups" button, then select the "Southeast Atlantic Regional User Group" link. Once you are on the SEARUG Home page, click the gray "Subscribe - SEARUG Announcements" button.

I will be posting a blog update each month, with details on regional events, conference updates and topics of interest.  Please stay tuned as we continue to grow our community.

Yours, Kathy Pfeiffer, Duke University and HEUG Board, and Tom Johnson, Duke University
