Recently I blogged about information overload and asked for input from the HEUG online community if HEUG was as guilty as some other un-named parties in filling your email boxes more often and/or with more material than you deemed preferable. The good news is I received not one reply suggesting HEUG was sending too much email. Whew!
There were also a number of questions asked and suggestions offered which I want to share.
The first suggestion spoke to HEUG communications being less broadcast and more conversational in nature. While the newsletter are by definition broadcast vehicles, I am happy to report that all blogs come with the facility to both rate the blog and also add a comment. By scrolling to the bottom of the blog, you will see this can be accomplished. I hope some of you will take the opportunity to share your thoughts by clicking on Feedback: Add Comment.
The question, “How do I communicate with HEUG” prompts me to share a little basic navigation. If you want to communicate with the TAG or a particular PAG, you can find all the chairs at: http://www.heug.org/p/cm/ld/fid=208. By choosing “Members” you will be directed to the member list and their respective email address. Addressing a note the chair might be a good way to start. You can also find a list of HEUG Directors at http://www.heug.org/p/cm/ld/fid=202 and you can email any of them from that page.
I hope these two items increase the helpfulness and enjoyment of your HEUG online experience. Don’t forget, you can rate this blog or leave a comment…
