Oracle Position on future Student Products

Dear Members,

The HEUG Board has spent the past two months in very close discussion with the executive team of Oracle’s Higher Education Development. During this time, we have maintained our commitment to serving the needs of the HEUG community, your needs, by closely following the activity in the Student Applications Development Strategy Feedback forum, and soliciting feedback from the Advisory Groups regarding enhancement and development prioritisation.

In response to these discussions, and in response to the questions that we received from the general membership, Oracle has created the “Oracle Student Products Position Statement.” This document is meant to provide some clarity to Oracle’s current plans for Campus Solutions, and for the new Student Cloud products.

We have posted this document in its entirety on HEUG.Online so that it is easily accessible to all the HEUG membership. We encourage you to read Oracle’s Student Products Position Statement and provide your feedback on the document by completing the survey linked below. Your responses will be compiled and synthesized by the HEUG Board of Directors to help drive future discussions with Oracle. Oracle will not have access to your survey responses.

As a user group community, we see product advocacy as one of the pillars upon which we stand. It is imperative at this critical juncture in the evolution of Student Information System Solutions that the HEUG leadership remains true to the needs, concerns, and knowledge of our membership. We will continue to serve as advocates for you to Oracle and our other valued partners.

We also want to remind you that the Student Applications Development Strategy Feedback forum will remain open for the foreseeable future. We encourage you to subscribe and share your thoughts as we move forward.

Thank you for your continued support. The HEUG remains a powerful advocate in the field of Student Information System technology because of committed members like you.

Sincerely,

Jane Broad
HEUG President
