Oracle responds to request for extension of support window for EBS/PS

Good news out of Oracle.  In a positive response to requests by HEUG and other user groups to provide an extension of support for EBS and Peoplesoft product lines that are facing end of their premium support lifecycles, Oracle president Charles Phillips announce yesterday that Oracle will waive fees for extended support for products lines described in the announcement below:

Oracle President Charles Phillips announced the company has waived Extended Support fees for a number of the Oracle major product lines through 2010 and 2011.

 

Oracle's Extended Support includes major product and technology releases; product updates; fixes and security alerts; tax, legal and regulatory requirements; upgrade scripts; and technical support.

 

Mr. Phillips announced that the company has waived the first year of Extended Support fees for the following products:

 

Oracle® E-Business Suite Release 11i10 - through November 2011

 

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 8.11- through December 2010

 

Siebel CRM 7.8 - through May 2011

 

Oracle Database 10g R2 - through July 2011

 

Mr. Phillips announced that the Extended Support fees would be waived for the PeopleSoft Enterprise 8.9 releases through June 2011.

 

Mr. Phillips also announced that for the Oracle E-Business Suite 11i9 release, Oracle would continue to provide resolution of severity-one technical issues and US year-end 1099 support through June 2010.
