HEUG organized the first HEUG EMEA event in collaboration with the Dutch Education User Group Conference which took place November 3rd in Amsterdam, Netherlands. HEUG members from Glasgow, Belfast, Cambridge, Derby, Liverpool, Brussels and Antwerp joined forces with their Dutch colleagues to create a common base for use of Higher Education Student systems. Vendors from Europe, South Africa and US attended and presented at both the HEUG as the DEUG event.
HEUG EMEA representatives and HEUG board members met to work on effective collaboration in this diversified and evolving community. In the Executive Forum the challenges in HiEd IT-strategy were discussed. The theme of the workshops and the Dutch conference was ´Under the hood´, with a strong focus on technology and integration.
