Alliance Down Under '15 Pre-Conference Training Course Possibilities

  • 1.  Alliance Down Under '15 Pre-Conference Training Course Possibilities

    Posted 09-08-2015 10:02 PM
    Good Afternoon Colleagues,

In previous years our ANZ universities have collaborated with arranging
Oracle/PeopleSoft training around an Alliance Down Under during
pre-conference times, and thus leveraging from the visiting international
    knowledge.

Is there any interest or established arrangement on procuring PeopleSoft
training for the November, 2015 period?

    Kind Regards,

    Rachel Daniels.

Hi Stuart (and other interested parties)
Although I'm not able to confirm just yet, we are looking into a pre-conference PUM workshop. We are also working on a deep-dive session on FLUID spanning two sessions (again to be confirmed) - although I will be interested to hear from people if they would rather have a second pre-conference workshop instead of the deep-dive session.

We are hoping to have available sessions/workshops out to everyone shortly. I'm happy to receive feedback on any other areas that people would be interested in.

    Regards,
    Stephanie.

I'd say that both sessions would be beneficial. Depending on the demand, a second pre-conference PUM Workshop would be good to place everyone in the same level of understand regarding PUMs. As I would say that's a priority.

Simultaneously, a deep-dive session on FLUID would be fully handy most especially to the crowd who have been very much keen to look into the GUI organizational improvements for better User portal experience.

Out of curiosity, are you only looking to schedule the workshops within Australia? Just asking to see if there are training course possibilities over here in New Zealand.

    Hi All,

Same here, UQ would like Fluid pre-ADU training in Australia.

My understanding is that there’s nothing available yet but if there’s enough interest it could be possible to organise something.

    Regards,

    Hi Jowe.

Thank you for your feedback. As technical track co-chair for the HEUG ADU, organising training & sessions around the ADU conference is my only focus. Are you planning to send any delegates to this year's conference? If so - can I suggest that they have a chat to some of the training providers or Oracle about possible training in NZ?

    Regards,

    Regards,
    Stephanie.

    Hi All

As a NZ rep on the SIG I am happy to collate a list of training interests on behalf of NZ to put forward for the next Mini HEUG in NZ.  Alternatively if you would like to discuss the Alliance Down Under conference I am happy to talk to you via the phone or email about this event.  You can email me directly at vhearn@unitec.ac.nz with your prefered contact details.  It would be fantastic to have some NZ collegues there.

It is worth providing any training interest to Stephanie as this may also interest others and we could look to see if it could be provided via a webinar or at a future point.

    Thanks

    Vic

    Good morning all,

UniSA are in the final stages of implementing Fluid and WorkCentre's (as well as EMS, Rules Engine and using the Research tracking modules)- we have submitted presentations in both the technical and student tracks to go through what we've done.

    Kind regards
