I have worked in higher education in both financial aid and student records positions since 1987. My first five years were at a graduate school of theology in Kansas City as Director of Financial Aid and Registrar. After a few years as a United Methodist Church pastor, I returned in 1996 to my alma mater, the University of Puget Sound, a private liberal arts college in the Pacific Northwest. Much of my career at the university has been working with transfer credit evaluations for both domestic and study abroad programs, and maintaining the degree audits. Currently serving as Assistant Registrar, my role is primarily as functional analyst for PeopleSoft Student Records' enhancements, upgrades, and third-party integrations, query writing/reporting, managing registration processes, and assisting with class scheduling, Advisement Report setup, and transfer credit evaluations. Puget Sound converted to PeopleSoft in 2013 and now uses Campus Solutions 9.2 as the school rolls out additional fluid interfaces.
My passions outside of work include mentoring refugees in our community, supporting a local organic farm, reading a good mystery, trying new vegan recipes, and spending time with my husband and grown children.
