I currently serve as the Director of Administrative Information Services at Williams College. My team supports the core administrative systems at Williams, including PeopleSoft Financials, HRMS, and Campus Solutions as well as quite a few other applications. We're currently implementing Workday HCM and Financials.
I served on the HEUG Board for two elected terms and for two years as an appointed member, completing my service in 2019.
I started attending the annual HEUG/Alliance conferences in 2000 and haven't missed one since. Over the years I've responded to a fair number of questions posed on various HEUG forums, especially on technical topics. The value of those forums to PeopleSoft customers of all sizes and in all locations can't be overstated. Members of my staff and I have presented at the conference on numerous occasions.
I was an early member of the HEUG TAG (Technical Advisory Group) and ultimately spent 6 years on the TAG, serving as chair twice. I helped write several TAG white papers, including Effective ERP Practices for the Small Institution (2008), A Deliberate Approach for Leveraging Applications Unlimited (2007) and Moving from PeopleSoft to Fusion (2006).
In 2009, I was honored to receive the HEUG Member Appreciation Award.
I got my start with PeopleSoft Financials at an electric company in Vermont, working with Financials 5, then moved a bit farther south and joined Williams College in 1997 as a Project Manager. Williams selected PeopleSoft as their ERP vendor in 1999 and we went live with HRMS (in HR/SA) 7.6 on January 1, 2001, Financials 7.5 on July 1, 2001 and then implemented Student Administration in phases over several academic cycles. Applications and modules in use as of August 2019 include HRMS 9.2 (HR/Base Benefits/Payroll/Recruiting/Time & Labor), Campus Solutions 9.20 (Admission/Financial Aid/Student Records/Student Financials), and Financials 9.2 (Accounts Payable/General Ledger).
