“Through learning, minds change. We believe by changing minds, we can change the world.” That’s the mission statement for Illinois Central College. Our students, faculty, and staff crafted this mission based on what we accomplish at our community college. What we do here makes a difference both in individual lives and the world in which we live.
ICC serves roughly 10,000 students each semester and offers more than 2,000 sections of classes. The College awards five different associate degrees, and certificates in roughly 60 areas. ICC also provides GED and ESL programs, adult and basic education, continuing and professional education, and leisure classes and activities for a district with a population of about 350,000. ICC is an AQIP institution that employs Six Sigma as a problem-solving technique.
